A accident damaged aluminium bonnet The new replacement being too damaged in transit to use.

Very tricky and time consuming.
Strip paint. Anneal edges.unfold edges Drill spot welds remove skin from frame and remove inner reinforcings. Repair frame and trial fit Repair skin and trial fit. Tricky in itself it being high tensile .8 mm aluminium Prepare skin and frame and punch 40 or so holes in the near contact points between skin and frame Reanneal edges prepare for and Apply Sikaflex primer. Refit skin Apply Sikaflex fold edges Refit to car while adhesive cures Remove bonnet and inject soft cure expanding foam adhesive OEM.
Refit to car, Aaah nice.
